January 23 Worship

Today's theme is Nehemiah 8:10, The joy of the Lord is your strength. Jenny Gilles is elder. Weather interfered with our music plans and so we had to cobble together piano music from a variety of sources. This morning's hymn is Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee, the one that uses Beethoven's Ode to Joy as its tune. The sermon looks at three aspects of the reading from Nehemiah 8: Priesthood, Weeping, and Joy.
